Three Ways to Appear at The Thalia

Events at The Thalia are either Rentals (you pay a fee for the space), Bookings (you get a flat fee to do your thing in the space), or Co-Productions (which are somewhere between the two).  All three areas of The Thalia (the Theatre, the Rehearsal hall, and the Lounge) are available for use.

The Theatre at The Thalia is suitable for plays, dance shows, stand-up comedy, corporate events, film screenings, burlesque, and select music shows.  It has 99-fixed seats, with space in front for either additional seating (rows), chairs and tables, or for that floor space to be utilized as an extension of the stage.  The seating is raked and the sightlines are clear; there are no bad seats in our theatre! Rental of the theatre includes the backstage area and dressing rooms, our basic lighting plot, and our audio equipment.

Weekday rates are per evening from 6:00pm to 1:00am.  Fridays and Saturdays we try and book two events per evening.  The rate shown is for the entire evening.  Contact us for half-night or daytime rates.  Please note that these rates are guidelines.  A popular date (i.e., May 5 or March 17) may be charged at a higher rate, and we may offer discounts for multiple dates booked at the same time.

Day Rate
Monday or Tuesday $200.00
Sunday, Wednesday, or Thursday $300.00
Friday or Saturday $500.00

Technical staffing and box office services are available for an additional fee, as are additional lighting or sound accessories and fixtures.

The Rehearsal Hall isn't just for rehearsals! The 24' x 18' space is perfect for staged readings, movement or lecture classes, presentations, and more.  It is mirrored along one of the long walls and one of the short walls and has a semi-sprung floor.  The space has a simple sound system and non-theatrical lighting. It typically rents for $30 per hour Monday to Friday beginning at 5:00pm and all day Saturday and Sundays.  From 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday through Friday the rate is $25.00 per hour.  Discounts are offered for full-day rentals.
